Wristech Blood Pressure Monitor Review

I'm getting older. I'm 36 now. There was a time when I thought I was invincible. Now, I've come to realize that I'm not. I'm finding myself becoming more and more involved in my own health care issues these days - not by choice, but rather by necessity. I've been diagnosed with Diabetes and high blood pressure.

I travel a lot for my job and I needed a way to track my blood pressure while I was away from home. I tried out a sleeved blood pressure unit, but I encountered a lot of difficulties with it. I have really large arms and the small sleeve that came with the unit was way too small to go around my arm. I ordered the larger size sleeve and it was still tight and uncomfortable. It was also difficult to use by myself. It's a bit tricky to put the velcro sleeve around your arm and get it into position using only one hand. Needless to say, I was less than happy with the situation. That's when I went looking for an alternative solution. I found the Wristech blood pressure monitor.

I did my homework before buying the Wristech unit. I checked it out and discovered it was approved by the FDA and was certified to be clinically accurate. That meant a lot to me, as I wanted to make sure this unit was going to be reliable and accurate for me. So, I placed my order.

When the Wristech came in the mail, the first thing I noticed was the hard carrying case that the unit came in. My first thought was that it would be perfect for travel. When I removed the unit, I noticed it looked like an oversized watch. It has a very large display, perfect for those with vision difficulties. It also has a very intuitive interface. I knew this was going to be easy to use.

I dug 2 AAA batteries out of my utility drawer and placed them in the unit. Then I slipped the Wristech on and adjusted the velcro strap. I was able to adjust it to fit very comfortably on my large wrist. I was very pleased about that.

I then pushed the large green START/STOP button and the machine began to inflate automatically to the correct level. A few seconds later and the machine de-inflated automatically and my readings came up on the large screen. It accurately measured my blood pressure and my pulse at the same time and then stored my readings away in memory. Upon reading the manual, I learned that the Wristech can store your last 99 readings along with the date and time you took them. Which reminds me. I forgot to set the time and date before I used the machine. That's ok, a quick glance at the manual showed me how to fix that.

I really like my Wristech. I take it with me when I'm traveling. It's small and fits easily into my overnight bag. It's fast, it's easy, and it's convenient.

The only problem I've ever had with it is that I put it back in the case wrong one time and ran my battery down because the straps were incorrectly placed by me and were rubbing against the buttons of the machine, keeping it on.

I highly recommend the Wristech blood pressure monitor for anyone who is looking for quick, easy, accurate, and hassle-free blood pressure monitoring at home or on the go. You won't be disappointed with this unit.
